Common Ground

An open psycho-social support group for people with immigrant background who find themselves in precarious situation and experience periods of homelessness. Together we create a safe and supportive space to talk, learn, and reconnect — to regain a sense of control, direction and belonging.

Our biweekly gatherings facilitated by coaches and psychologists combine therapeutic talking circles, psychoeducation, shared meals, and peer stories of survival and recovery. We talk about identity and its crisis, effects of stress and trauma on our lives, addiction, accumulation of multiple exclusions, and many more things, but also about strategies that allow to cope with these challenges and about daring to make a fresh start, no matter how small it might be.

The project also provides practical assistance with taking steps towards positive change, helping people to approach relevant support organisations and new learning and development opportunities.

The gatherings are always free.
You can just drop in 🙂

The meetings are held in a mixture of English and Polish languages.
